NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Iron Horse Instrumental Music Winter
Concert IHMS
will be presenting their Winter Concert featuring 6th Grade Band,
String Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Jazz Band on Thursday, December 17th
starting at 7:00 p.m. in the MPR. Iron Horse 7/8 Grade Dance There
will be a 7th/8th Grade Dance “Neon Nights” on Friday,
December 4th from 7-9:00 p.m. in the MPR. Tickets will be sold at lunch on November
19th & 20th for $3 and on November 30th-December
4th for $5. Hurry and
come to a great time!! Grizzly Track Camp The
Grizzly Track Camp is a 2-week program designed to initiate the beginning
middle & high school track athlete into the various events of track &
field. It consists of a warm-up
period followed by a variety of sessions of which the participant may choose
one each day. Areas covered will
be the sprints, distance events, throws, jumps, hurdles & pole vault. There
are 10 weekday sessions from 3:30-5:00 beginning Monday, January 25th
and concluding Friday, February 5th. The camp will be held at the California High School Track,
and be taught by the Track Team Staff.
The cost is $75 & includes a camp t-shirt. For more info, please contact Mark

part of a “dance crew” at this fun event! Boys & Girls ages 11 and up. No experience necessary. Taught by La Tonya Watts renowned choreographer &
Valley Hip Hop instructor/team coach.
This event will take place on Friday, December 4th from
5:00-7:00 p.m. at 2411 Old Crow Canyon Rd. Suite Q in San Ramon. Free raffle ticket to all who attend. Wear anything funky (baggie jeans, sweats, t-shirt,
shorts, and athletic shoes. Call

THIS WEEK AND UPCOMING EVENTS - Science Fair Club will meet again on Tuesday
December 1st from
3-4:00 pm in the Iron Horse Library and on the first & third Tuesdays
of each month. The Tri-Valley Science & Engineering Fairis scheduled for
March 30-April 2. All 7th
& 8th graders are welcome. - Computer Club will meet again on Tuesday,
December 1st in PT-11
from 2:45-3:45 PM.. Computer Club meets every other Tuesday. Check Schoolloops for details. Teen Activity Group:
Quest (formerly TAG) is a weekly teen
support group offered at Iron Horse.
The group meets on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Room
200 and is open to all students. This group is free to participate.
During the group, participants will discuss current issues, engage in
recreational activities and games and have refreshments. The groups are
co-led by a Recreation Leader and the Youth Resource Officer. Quest has started. Check it out! After-School Study Club: Study
Club will meet Tuesday, 12/1 in Room
107 and Thursday, 12/3 in Room 208
from 3:00-3:45. Students should come prepared with
materials to work, study, or read quietly. |

NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS (Continued) Winter Break Baseball Camps: California High School: Pro
Head Varsity Baseball Coach at California High School, Dan Ward, will be
offering two 3-Day Sessions focusing on hitting, pitching, fielding,
throwing, and base running for baseball players ages 8 to 13. The Session 1 will be 12/21, 12/22
and 12/23. Session 2 will be
12/28, 12/29 and 12/30. All
sessions will be at California High School Baseball Complex from 9:00 am to
Noon each day. The cost is $125
per session / $225 for both sessions.

Varsity Baseball Coach Brian Freitas will feature professionals Mike Meggers
and Darren Lewis for Baseball Camps giving their expertise instructions in
hitting, fielding, pitching, baserunning and all positions for players ages
7-15. The 3- day Camp runs
Saturday, January 16 through Monday January 18th, 12:00 –

Lacrosse Season Registration
is open now through December 1st for 2010 Lacrosse Season. Boys and Girls ages 6-14 are invited
to check out the fastest growing team sport in the US today. Lacrosse is a unique, fast-paced,
intense game that highlights coordination, agility, endurance, and
teamwork. To learn more about

SRVGAL (San Ramon Girls Athletic League) is now open for
registration. Girls are placed
in grade-based divisions.

The Yearbook Class will be
selling Iron Horse Calendars after school, on Thursday, November 19th
and Thursday, December 3rd in PT-11. Staff members will sell them until 3:30 p.m. The Calendars are a bargain at $3 for
one and twi for $5!

The next after-school sports will be Girls Basketball which will
start after the Winter Recess. There will be information regarding signups, beginning
practices, games in this bulletin before the Winter
Recess. If you have any
